
The Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) is seeking a qualified geologist to manage neotectonic and earthquake-hazards research and mapping projects in Alaska, including conducting studies of active faults, earthquake and tsunami hazards, and managing geologic field project teams. Under guidance, the successful applicant will engage in all aspects of this work, from compiling original published field data to collecting new field data and preparing maps and reports for publication.
Application Period: 10/15/2008 through 11/14/2008. Location: Fairbanks, Alaska. Salary: $4,703.00 monthly. Job Status: Full-time, permanent. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and professional level experience; or a Master’s degree.
